Rebozos
A Rebozo is traditionally a Mexican shawl, used for many purposes, including carrying babies, as well as being used to help support women during the birthing process.
Traditionally Midwives, Mothers and Doulas around the world use the Rebozo to wrap around the pregnant mother in a way that serves as a support to her during labour.
Working with the women in Laos has been an amazing journey. Traditionally Lao women would not use their woven fabric the way the traditional Mexican Rebozo is used.
However after making these beautiful Rebozos according to our specifications they have been curious as to how they are used!
We are working on getting in some DVD’s and information handouts to go along with our rebozos so check back!
For every Rebozo Mama Goddess Birth Shop sells, we will donate $5.00 towards the purchase of a traditional Lao loom and thread for the women who come to the Silk maternity waiting homes.
We are currently out of our Rebozos, but will ship out any orders as soon as they come in
